Restart the computer and start pressing the F8 key on the keyboard. If this issue persists, we may need to pay more attention on the hardware side. Here are several suggestions in my mind: 1. It even freezes in clean boot without launching much program. Seems the issue is not only related to Office. It is very ironic since I purchased this computer specifically for school. I am to the point where I have had documents freeze up on me when trying to save so many times that I am using another computer for everything that requires Office. Any other suggestions? It's getting really old and frustrating -especially since I am trying to work on papers and tests for school. I double checked and everything in the Services tab that is not Microsoft and everything in the Startup tab is disabled. I went back to disabling everything and had no problem for over 24 hours and then while saving for at least the tenth time in the past 24 hours I finally had excel and word freeze on me again. I fixed that and went 24 hrs without an error so I turned everything back on only to have excel freeze less than an hour later. I turned everything off and it seemed to work for 24 hrs so I slowly turned them back on and found what I thought was causing the error. This is a very tedious error to fix as it is not always possible to re-create the error every time. I have disabled all non-Microsoft services and everything in the startup tab and Excel just froze up on my while saving. However, if the issue persists, close Outlook, try launching it again with no add-on mode by hoding the key "Ctrl" at the same time to test the issue. Launch Outlook, check whether or not the issue still appears in this environment.

When the "System Configuration Utility" window appears, please check the "Don't show this message or launch the System Configuration Utility when Windows starts" box and click OK. Click "OK" to restart your computer to Selective Startup environment. Click the "Startup" tab, click "Disable All" and click "OK". Click the "Services" tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box and click "Disable All" (if it is not gray). Click "Start",and type "msconfig" (without the quotation marks) in the open box to start the System Configuration Utility.

I suggest use the following steps to troubleshoot the issue: How to enter clean Boot = This method will help us determine if this issue is caused by a loading program or service other than office add-ons. Evan a 'just to this 60 seconds+ of clicking to fix it' would help, at least let me do the deed for the day.Hi, Most the Office issues are caused by the conflict with third party add-ons, especially those translating program.
This is very frustrating since there appears no way around it when it happens. I's just a casual Rush user, so I give up and try again a day+ later. This happens almost half the time, and I have no way to get around it. When it gets this way, it is so for any video chosen to edit. I have been using Windows Task manager to 'end task' for Rush. I've logged oout/in of CC too, no change. Moving either the slider under the view window or on the filmstrip at the bottom does nothing in the main view window. The video filmstrip loads across the bottom in the usual quick time, but the view window is blank, not the first frame of the video as usual.

You start Rush, start a new edit item, pich an mp4 off a locaal drive, and click Create.

On the latest version of Rush (1.5.34 build 48), and also on the prior versions over the past few months, the video hangs.
